Ten Thoughts On Smackdown 6/18/2010 – CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Fatal Fourway PPV
We’ve now seen all the programming we can get before the Fatal Fourway pay-per-view this Sunday! I’m still fuming that they scheduled a PPV for Father’s Day, but hey, it’s all good.
1. I love watching Punk do what he does best: pissing people off. The Fatal Fourway heels attack Kane, and the babyfaces come to the rescue…only to initiate their own beatdown. Diggin’ Rey’s new shirt! Most people know I like to drink and order stuff online…uh oh!
2. A fatal fourway match is busy and messy to begin with. Why are they incorporating storylines into each World Championship match? Kane and Undertaker? The threat of Rookies? There’s too much going on, let’s see if the stars can pull it off.
3. I’m not sure how I feel about Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer picking up the win. I feel like they’re being forced down my throat.
4. Dolph Ziggler’s short-shorts make me very uncomfortable.
5. Why are we getting endless recaps about stuff Drew McIntyre has done? He hasn’t done anything interesting enough, and he only has a match with Teddy Long. The match itself was as boring as it was pointless. Is this really the best we have for the “Chosen One”?
6. Is Matt in spray-tan rehab? He’s giving Sheamus a run for his money.
7. Kelly Kelly is the main reason no one respects the Divas. Am I the only one that doesn’t think implants and booty shorts make a female wrestler a success?
8. Smackdown needs a world champ that won’t make a fool of himself when he talks.
9. Big Show’s song just doesn’t sound right. He needs to tag with Jericho again so I can hear “Crank The Walls Down”.
10. Punk and Mysterio have such amazing chemistry. I’m sad they’re not doing one on one competition this time, although I’m fairly certain they’re going to be the stars of the match. My money is on Punk winning it all, but we’ll see on Sunday!
